Within this activity, materials are collected from recycling points, recycling islands, and materials delivered to recycling centers in the municipalities of Almeida, Belmonte, Celorico da Beira, Covilhã, Figueira de Castelo Rodrigo, Fornos de Algodres, Fundão, Guarda, Manteigas, Meda, Penamacor, Pinhel, Sabugal, and Trancoso.

Collection from recycling points takes place Monday to Friday, from 5:00 AM to 1:30 PM and from 1:30 PM to 9:00 PM for the three streams: paper/cardboard packaging, plastic/metal packaging, and glass packaging.

Resiestrela also offers a free door-to-door collection service for recyclable materials, which aims to collect recyclable waste produced by small businesses and services in the 14 municipalities served by Resiestrela.

This initiative aims to promote increased selective collection of recyclable materials, namely paper, cardboard, plastic, metal, and glass packaging, which in most cases are still deposited in unsorted waste containers or abandoned outside recycling points.

With this initiative, recyclable materials can be recovered by Resiestrela, benefiting the environment and reducing treatment costs for citizens and municipalities.
